The Little Horses (žirgeliai in Lithuanian) hat features both representational and symbolic motifs. Horses were dearly loved in Lithuania, and in general were associated with the harvest or war. In folksongs, the horse was often a confidant to a young man who rode out to visit his love. Find out more in the blog post.

Today we use the word crossroads metaphorically to indicate a critical point in a person’s life where significant decisions need to be made. In the past, actual crossroads were considered liminal spaces where the physical world met with the supernatural.
